Think about all of the voices you’ve heard during your lifetime. It’s fascinating that voices, like faces and fingerprints are all unique. If you got a call from someone you loved long ago, chances are pretty good that no matter how long ago it was, you’d instantly recognize the person if they simply called you by name. When we were babies, the voices that we heard every day were the voices that influenced us to become the kind of persons we were. Our moms and dads, siblings, teachers, preachers and friends, all spoke to us when we were growing and learning. Their voices became the “voices in our heads’ that formed us and molded us. Their values because our values. Their thoughts about God and relationships, morals and manners, work and play, all became our thoughts about those same things. After we got out of school and moved away from our homes, we may often not realize that the way we live today, may still be based on those old voices in our heads. Do you ever ask yourself why you believe what you believe about the important things of life. Or why do you even think the important things are, indeed, important? Do you ever hear other voices in your head that you don’t recognize that seem to be whispering to you. Asking you why you think what you think.
The purpose of this podcast is to give you new voices to listen to. New ideas to put into your head. I hope to talk with all kinds of people. Authors, speakers, apologists, atheists. Neuroscientists, thinkers, teachers, friends, and people that maybe none of us have ever heard of. My hope is to talk with interesting people with fascinating stories. My purpose for you, the listener, is simply that you may think new thoughts, live life in new ways, because you have some new and fascinating “voices in your head”.
